Chinese Windows 95 & 3.l
Complete localized versions of Microsoft Windows, with fully integrated Chinese language support. Have all the features of US Windows, localized for Chinese. Both include one MingLi traditional double-byte TrueType font (Chinese and English are fixed space), with 13051 characters (Big5 code). Win 95C adds NewMingLi (like MingLi, but English is proportional), and Kai, a Chinese calligraphy font. If you need both traditional and simplified fonts, add a Simplified Font Pack to traditional Chinese Windows. If you need simplified fonts only, order PRC Windows 3.1 (simplified fonts and menus), for the same price. It has two TrueType fonts with 6700 characters in GB code, and three input methods: romanized pinyin, GB code, and a facility to create up to twenty input tables for your own or another common PRC input method such as Wubi.
Chinese Windows Wordpad (Win 95C) and Write (Win 3.1C) permit bilingual Chinese and English word processing. All Windows applets have been localized into Chinese. Comes with six input methods: Phonetic (BoPoMoFo), Dayi, Changiei, Quick, Array, Big5. Quickly toggle between Chinese and English input by hitting input mode hotkey. All menus, online help files, and manuals are in Chinese. Menus parallel US Windows menu arrangement for easier learning. Addon utility programs (available for purchase separately) permit Chinese Windows to support romanized pinyin input, e.g., Hanin pinyin input utility, English to Chinese word by word translation, or penbased handwritten character recognition with a digitizer pad connected to a serial port.
DDE (Dyhamic Data Exchange) and OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) for seamless information transfer between DDE and OLEenabled Windows applications. Chinese Windows fully supports Windows multimedia extensions. US Windows applications will run within Chinese Windows. Compatibility with Chinese doublebyte fonts vanes from product to product.
