When you check spellings, ask for synonyms, or use the Hyphenation command, Word checks an appropriate dictionary or thesaurus. From English to Spanish to German and back to English again, Word switches from one language to another, automatically.
All you need to make Word proof your language is the appropriate Microsoft Proofing Tools package. Each package consists of the same spelling dictionary, hyphenation file, and thesaurus that Microsoft incorporates in foreign versions of Word. The Proofing,, Tools manual even explains how to type special characters in each language.
