AsiaSurf is a multilingual software driver supporting Japanese,Korean, Traditional and Simplified Chinese. With AsiaSurf installed on Chinese Windows (or any other language version of Windows), and used in tandem with a Web browser or e-mail software, you will gain convenient, first hand access to on-line information and e-mail in Japanese, Korean, Traditional and Simplified Chinese.
At the same time, AsiaSurf features multilingual encoding capabilities, allowing you to easily convert documents between Traditional and Simplified Chinese character encoding (Big-5 and GB). Never has viewing Chinese been easier, offering readers the ability to easily switch to the style of Chinese (Traditional or Simplified) that they are accustomed.
AsiaSurf supports two main types of software, including Web Browsers, such as Netscape Navigator and MS Explorer; and e-mail applications, such as Lotus cc:Mail and MS Mail.
AsiaSurf supports many other types of software. If you want to test its compatibility with your favorite software, please feel free to download from our web site and give it a try.
When operating AsiaSurf under different "2-byte" versions of Windows (such as Chinese, Japanese and Korean), you may notice that your application menus become garbled text as you switch between different languages. This is caused by a difference in encoding systems between your application and the selected language in AsiaSurf. To allow the application menus to return to normal, simply select the "Default" setting in AsiaSurf.
