A beginning-level program for learning to read Hebrew that unilizes modern Hebrew (Sephardic) for pronunciation in chanting basic prayers. The Aleph-Beth part of the program features a synthesis of mechanical (phonetic) and comprehensive reading and provides skills for fluency in reading the prayerbook or any Hebrew text. The Prayer part consists of selected passages from the Siddur: Keyprayers are sung in a traditional tune. 3 cassettes (3 hr.) and 66-page booklet.
