Arabic You Need (Lebanese)


This brief selfstudy course in spoken Arabic for beginners was developed by Hadia H. Harb, who has specialized in teaching Arabic to foreigners in the Education Division, Beirut University. The recordings by native speakers are in the Lebanese dialect, one of the easiest to learn and spoken primarily in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and the Gulf area.

The programmed text contains 25 lesson units, each divided into 5 parts: Part I: conversational situations and dialogs; Part II: listen, read, and say; Part III: questions and answers; Parts IV and V: exercises and applications. Each unit ends with a glossary of important words along with their grammatical classifications.

Arabic You Need: 2 cassettes (2 hr. ) and 176p text.
