The Magic Ark

This adaptation by Peggy Wang (McGill University) of a well-known story by the famous Chinese writer Lao She is retold in simple Chinese for students of advanced first-year or second-year Chinese. Each text page contains an illustration accompanied by transcription in Hanyu pinyin which serves as a guide to pronunciation and an aid in using a pinyin Chinese-English dictionary. 1 cassette (90 min.) and l6l-p. text.
