The Chinese ScanName enables you to file your both Chinese/English business cards electronically. The image of each scanned card is crisp clear. You will find that even hand scribbled notes are clearly displayed in a page view. For small prints, the zoom function will magnify them till it is clearly readable.

Search for clients card easily

Information on the scanned cards are automatically parsed into the respective database field. To search for your clients' data, simply type the relevant keywords such as their name or their company's name or other conditions.

Enhance & reprint business cards

Temporary but impressive business cards can be created for newly employed staff. This is due to the designable and easily editable image of the scanned cards. Reproduction of these cards is most impressive through a laser printer or a color inkjet printer.

Use as a marketing communication tool

During a mailing campaign, ScanName software helps you to select a targeted group of customers by geographical demarcations such as countries, states or cities; by alphabetical order or other conditions. Client's record can be printed into mailing labels, or be mailmerged with standard letters from word-processing applications.

Recognize both Chinese and English text printed in name card:

The Chinese ScanName can recognize 4 major simplified Chinese fonts (JianSong, JianKai, JianHei and JianFangSong Ti) and 4 major conventional Chinese fonts (FanMing, FanKai, FanHei and FanYuan Ti). It can read either Chinese text or English text, and it also can read the text mixed in both Chinese and English characters.

High recognition accuracy on both Chinese and English text

The build-in Chinese/English OCR engine can read the Chinese/English text printed in the TOP or above print quality in the average recognition accuracy of 97% or above. The recognition speed is also high.

Versatile image management:

• Scale-to-Gray image display……clear image of the exact card for viewing on the monitor.
• Zooming in & out of the image in several levels.
• Image editing……allow font selections or editing of information onto the image of any card. Noise clearance function, clean up the image of the business card for a clearer view or name card reproduction through laser or injek printer.

Drag & Drop:

Click & drag any text information within a record such as the image, memo field or database field & drop them into any relevant field.

Editable browse & easy query window

• By typing partially or fully a string within the browse window. will enable you to retrieve all records that match this input string e.g. type TEL. no "(818)349" (incomplete) onto the search field & you will retrieve all records with this string, into the browse window. Here you are able to view data of these records or further select just one record to see its details.
• You can also print user defined global or query report or merely selective fields of a query in WYSIWYG format.
• All records displayed in the browse windows can be edited within the browse window.

Import & Export Capability

• DBF or .CSV file format can be imported into the Chinese ScanName. You may import the entire database or selected files into the ScanName software.
• DBF, .CSV or .TXT file format can be exported from the Chinese ScanName. You may export the entire database, selected files, record, or fields into applications which support these formats.

Sort & Print Functions

This function enables you to sort out records in alphabetical order. It could be by the company, person's name, country or designation. Printing of these records may be in the form of the name cards' images, mailing labels or various kinds of report formats.
