This program enables you to type Cyrillic in your Windows programs such as Word for Windows, Ami Pro, MS Works for Windows, Claris Works for Windows and many more. It supports Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Byelorussian, Macedonian and Serbo-Croatian. Twelve language-specific layouts are provided including U.S., Extended U.S., Soviet, AATSEEL Standard, AATSEEL Student, Ukrainian Standard, Ukrainian Student, Byelorussian, Bulgarian, Macedonian, Serbo-Croatian and User-Defined. The AATSEEL Standard and AATSEEL Student layouts are two Russian layouts developed by the American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages. A picture of all of these keyboard layouts can be displayed at any time so you always know how your keyboard is set up.

You can easily switch layouts via hot key without leaving your application. This makes it easy to switch between typing English and Cyrillic. All you have to do is switch back and forth between U.S. and a Cyrillic layout of your choice. You do not need to change your font at all as the fonts included in this package contain both English and Cyrillic characters. All layouts can be easily customized. You can also place three characters on one key rather than the conventional two characters.

Russian accented vowels can be typed using the Russian Keyboard program which is included in the package. This is invaluable for students and teachers who want to indicate correct stress patterns throughout their work.

The program contains a soft font suitable for printing on HP LaserJet printers, Canon BubbleJets and any matrix printer. TrueType and PostScript Cyrillic fonts are available separately in the package SlavicSwiss Cyrillic Fonts for Windows. HP DeskJet and non-HP compatible laser printer users require the SlavicSwiss Cyrillic Fonts.

Also available separately is a package called the Leed Cyrillic Fonts for Windows. These are high-quality soft fonts made specifically for HP LaserJet printers.

System Requirements

Cyrillic Support for Windows requires an IBM compatible PC running Windows. The program uses 900 KB of hard disk space and 50 KB of RAM.
