There are several Gamma UniType volumes to choose from. You may mix languages from any Gamma UniType volumes that you have installed. Languages are only sold as part of Volumes and are nor available for sale separately. Additional font packs available for many languages.

Spell Checkers for Gamma Unitype:
Spell Checkers plug into Gama Unitype and allow spell checking for foreign language text while text is being input into any Windows application. Spell checkers are Unitype specific and limited to checking foreign language text only on input and not after it is input into an application.
Gamma UniType comes with an English language spell checker. Off the shelf spell checkers with the following languages are available as options:

Hyphenation support is included for the following languages: Byelorussian, Bulgarian, Catalan, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, SwissGerman, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Norwegian (Bokmal and Nynorsk), Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, and Ukrainian.

GAMMA UNITYPE AND TRANSLATION?
Gamma UniType is a tool for writing foreign languages. It is not a tool for automatic translation but works with existing tools that are designed to assist the translator and translation process. Ask for brochures on Trados MultiTerm and Trados Translator's Workbench as well as Gamma UniLex for detailed information on translation tools that are designed to work with UniType and with all UniType supported languages.
HOW DOES GAMMA UNITYPE WORK?
UniType normally appears as a narrow window at the foot of your screen along with an onscreen keyboard layout chart that can be accessed from either the keyboard or mouse. Gamma UniType includes a selection of popular keyboard layouts for all supported languages geared towards both the professional typist as well as the novice. (Your existing hardware keyboard can always be used.) Even if you don't already know how to type in a foreign language, it is very easy to start by using a phonetic layout where the foreign characters are found on their English, French or German sound equivalents. Plus, you can type with your mouse directly onscreen.
Foreign language text, and any mix of languages on a page or line, is always displayed correctly onscreen in your application (WYSIWYG) with proper placement of vowels and accent marks, and with proper treatment of rightto-left text. As you type, UniType sends the text directly to the application that you are using (such as Word or WordPerfect). This is a fast, onestep, process, not a multiple step process involving the clipboard. Printing is to any supported Windows printer including HewlettPackard laser printers and ink jets (color and black & white) and well as Postscript printers and typesetting equipment.
UNITYPE AND LANGUAGE ORIENTATION
Gamma UniType is "languageoriented." This means that when you change a language within UniType you not only change the keyboard to the keyboard appropriate for the language but also the font to the appropriate font, as well as the available spell checker and hyphenation dictionary.
UniType keeps track of the special rules that need to be applied to complex languages so you don't have to. For example, righttoleft languages automatically type righttoleft when you select any righttoleft language. And numbers in righttoleft languages are always automatically positioned as they are supposed to be from lefttoright while you are typing the text righttoleft.
INTERFACE TO WORD PROCESSORS AND CUSTOM APPLICATIONS
Do you work with Word for Windows or WordPerfect 6.1 ? With UniType you simply type your foreign language text into Word and WordPerfect as easily as English. Use the included macros to switch languages, keyboards, and fonts in one operation by toggling a Word or WordPerfect Hot Key. All* Word and WordPerfect features including multilingual footnotes, word wrap, cut & paste, columns, search and replace, etc. are supported in any of the UniType available foreign languages including all right to left languages.
Are you a developer creating your own application that needs foreign language support? With the DDE Interface you can easily add Gamma UniType as a front end to your application supporting any of the included languages including righttoleft, Korean, Indian or any other supported languages. Via the DDE interface, all of the features and configuration options of UniType can be available from a custom applications interface with typically only a few days work.
WHAT ABOUT COMPATIBILITY?
Gamma UniType is compatible with all existing Windows applications and all versions of Windows. Our fonts are standard Windows compatible fonts where Microsoft has established a language standard. Where they have nor, a group of leading multilanguage software suppliers that include Gamma have developed the WinLanguage standard. WinLanguage compliance assures you that any product that you purchase will be compatible with other WinLanguage products. TRADOS MultiTerm and TRADOS Translator's Workbench, as well as EP Electronic Publishing's UniLex are WinLanguage compliant and are recommended as translation tools for use with UniType.
WHAT ABOUT FONTS?
Each language includes a complete set of TrueType fonts and many also include PostScript fonts as well. The full range of Windows point sizes for all included fonts is available in your application including support for high resolution typesetting. A complete description of the fonts available for a language is available. Just ask. And all your current and third party Windows compatible Western European, Eastern European, Greek and Cyrillic fonts are 100% compatible with Gamma UniType.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Gamma UniType comes on 3.5" disks. Gamma UniType runs on all Windows supported networks. And in any language version of Windows.
