The Hindi Word Processor

You can also use it to type Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, Sanskrit, Marathi, Nepali and Englsih

The Hindi Word Processor is an exciting new innovation in foreign language data-entry and processing. It enables even a newcomer to computers to be able to effectively use Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi and Bengali languages word processing right in his/her own home or office - in a way that previously could only be done at great cost using the help of specialists.

Additionally, it also allows to type Sanskrit, Marathi, Nepali and English with Diacritic Marks. Plain English may also be typed. The few programs for the PC that do exist require specialised knowledge of both the languages and fluency of keyboard mappings for all the various characters in those languages. People have to be fluent in both Hindi as well as in the cryptic mappings of all the characters using the English keyboard for them. Both the size of all the various characters and the specialised knowledge of the rules of each language, as also of the keyboard, has made the use of the languages noted above a very difficult task - discouraging the use of these languages in daily life.

The Hindi Word Processor does not require knowledge of the characters of these languages nor the use of a large number of cryptic mappings on a keyboard. The Hindi Word Processor simply uses the common English keyboard phonetically, i.e., where each letter always has the same sound. A language such as Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi or Bengali - all being phonetic languages - can be easily expressed using such a phonetic English alphabet.

With Hindi Word Processor, only one keyboard mapping is needed - the common English ketyboard! And, only one set of rules need to be known - phonetic. The use of an English keyboard requires no special training, and as for the phonetic rules, some 20 minutes spent to familiarise yourself with a modified English alphabet - expressing all the sounds found in the Hindi and Gujarati languages is all that is needed.

In fact, if one can speak Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi or Bangali, now one can write these langualges also. Example: ( Meraa Naam Diipak Hai ) if you type this you will get Hindi when you press F5 key or click on Preview button on the screen. This is called transcribing and NOT translation. to get other languages you simply go to the begining of the text and put backslash followed by the first letter of the language to be used. Same method is used to Bold, Italics, Centre

The Hindi Word Processor requires that you only know how to say the word phonetically. The Hindi Word Processor is what the Indian family has been waiting for: Hindi, Sanskrit, Gujarati, Punjabi and Bengali word processing to the simplicity of English.

The languages, Punjabi and Bengali have been added recently with some refinements to the word processor itself. This is the NEW VERSION of The Hindi Word Processor.
