Multilingual support for your Windows Applications LanguageLink for Windows is a software solution which allows you to work with over 65 different languages, in Word for Windows, Excel, CorelDraw and other popular Windows applications. LanguageLink provides country-specific keyboard layouts, high quality TrueType fonts and various helpful ergonomic features.

Functioning:

LanguageLink is aimed at computer users who have to produce mixed-language documents. In industry, trade, services, consulting, insurance, banking, administration, schools and universities; everywhere where you need to produce letters, documentation, contracts, leaflets and publications. While working in your application program, you call up the required keyboard layout with a 'hot key' and choose a font from the list of available fonts (similar to Times Roman and Helvetica). If you have already typed mixed-language text for example a letter, a contract or an extensive publication, the font-sensitive language-switcher changes the keyboard layout automatically whenever you move the cursor from one language to another. If you do not have access to a keyboard with keys engraved in two languages, then you can show the foreign keyboard on your screen (scaled to the required size). If the predefined keyboard layout does not suit your working practice, then you can make changes to individual keys using the easy Layout Editor. For printing foreign-language text you simply use any Windows-supported printer or your fax software.

The keyboard:

• Scaleable keyboard layout can be displayed in any Windows application.

• Optional data entry by mouse-click using the on-screen keyboard layout.

Fonts:

• TrueType fonts similar to Times Roman and Helvetica for every supported language.
• TrueType IPA font for International Phonetic Alphabet.

Switching languages:

• Change language in two steps (keyboard layout by hotkey, and choice of font from the font menu)
• With mixed-language text, the active keyboard layout changes automatically whenever you move the cursor from one language to another (font-sensitive language switching)

LanguageLink Professional Version

• Contains all the functions, languages and fonts of LanguageLink Base version.

Functioning:

In LanguageLink Base you can switch languages for your keyboard and font in two steps, and in LanguageLink Professional the process is even easier. You call the LanguageLink Speedbar directly from your Windows application, and it shows you at a glance all the languages and functions which are available with a single keystroke. The Word for Windows integration module provides another major feature. It builds all the required languages and functions into the Word for Windows menu system or toolbar. So even in Word for Windows you can change language with just a single keystroke. The LanguageManager makes it easy to work rapidly and professionally in a foreign language. This module allows to set up and maintain your own dictionaries and terminology databases for any combination of the available languages. These dictionaries not only provide a rapid look-up to reference sources, they also form the basis of the LanguageMangager translation support. When you need a translation while producing a document, just enter the search term in your document; it makes no difference whether you are working in Word for Windows or are editing an Excel table. The dictionary search, the insertion of the translation and the deletion of the original search term are all handled automatically. If there are several alternative translations available, you just drag & drop the required translation into your text. The LanguageManager translation-support technology works with LanguageLink's own internal dictionaries and with the add-on German-Russian CHIWAGO dictionary.

• Documents can be exchanged between localized Windows versions without conversion.

All customers who buy one or more main licenses can order additional licenses. No floppy disks and no manuals are included in this case. This package contains a printed license, which allows the use of this software package for one or more users (including networks). Additional manuals are available.
