LexiTrans Version 2.0 is a PCbased foreign language translation system designed to provide the user with an easy way to review foreign language text. LexiTrans is an excellent tool for the professional engineer and scientist, business person, student, and professional linguist.

LexiTrans Version 2.0 provides quick translations of titles, abstracts, or entire texts. LexiTrans' versatile interface lets the user determine how the translation proceeds, supporting automatic translation or letting the user select the most appropriate words from many options. The new phrasepreview feature lets the user see a draft translation before choosing alternate translation of uncertain words. Professional linguists use the bilingual word processor to type translations, switching to the foreign language for unrecognized words and letting LexiTrans provide the translation. Students find LexiTrans useful for writing in the foreign language, as well as for vocabulary drills and lesson practice.

LexiTrans Version 2.0 features a unique dictionary technology that can work with multiple dictionaries, each capable of holding over a million entries. LexiTrans learns as it goes. LexiTrans updates the dictionaries when you give it new translations. It even allows you to modify existing dictionary entries during translation sessions. LexiTrans can be customized to reflect your personal typing and transliteration preferences. LexiTrans translates in either direction.

LexiTrans includes a full complement of dictionary maintenance and translation utility routines. LexiTrans can be run through its own menus, or directly from DOS.

LexiTrans runs on IBM compatible Personal Computers using DOS 3.0 or later. An EGA or VGA display adapter is required. LexiTrans supports the HPLaserJet, IBMgraphics printer, and compatibles. A hard disk is required. LexiTrans software and system data files require approximately 1 to 2 Mbytes of disk space. Dictionary and language files generally need 1 to 2 Mbytes.

LexiTrans is available for Russian/English and Polish/English language configurations. Other languages will be available in the future. LexiTrans can be customized for most alphabeticallybased languages.

We offer a range of user support programs intended to enhance the utility and versatility of LexiTrans and to tailor a product to a broad range of needs at a minimum price.

Users are invited to send us the specialized dictionaries they develop for incorporation into our library of dictionaries. In return, the developer will receive one new dictionary from our specialty dictionary library.

In order to accommodate users who need LexiTrans for languages not in our current inventory, we offer a custom language option. This option provides the font and configuration files needed by LexiTrans; allowing users to enter or create their own dictionaries.
