MultiTYPE! is a software designed to faciliate the creation of multilingual documents on IBM and IBM-compatible computers in the Microsoft Windows 3.1 environment. It is easy to install and it's compatible with most MS Windows applications. It allows you to work in your favorite word processor, desktop publisher program, or database, and type in English and other language.
How it works?
MultiTYPE! KeyboardBAR indicator
which can be displayed on the screen, tells the user which keyboard layout
or language is currently active, simplifying whole typing process. Switching
between keyboard layouts is easy and can be done with a mouse or shortcut
keys. For more convenience, the user can have a keyboard layout displayed
graphicaly in the Keyboard Layout Window on the
screen or have it printed out. MultiTYPE! comes complete with several keyboard
layouts (standard, phonetic, typewriter). One large advantage of the program
is that any keyboard layout can be selected or changed while working in
on a document.
The
picture depicts a partial computer screen with WordPerfect. MultiTYPE!
KeyboardBar is open for selection of a language/keyboard layout.
Also partially seen is the MultiTYPE! Keyboard Layout Window where
the user can see how the keyboard is remapped. This window is activated
from the KeyboardBar by clicking on: Show Layout.
