Apple's original word processor for the Mac now features QuickTime movies and AppleEvent technology. Basic desktop publishing is supported via column capability and importation of EPSF, MacPaint, PICT, and PICT2 graphics formats. MacWrite II can open files from Ichitaro 3.0, EGWord (versions 3 and 4), as well as MS-Word (versions 3, 4, 5).
