Parawin NT for Windows NT is now Available!
Parawin 95 Pack 1 contains keyboard driver with system font, classic Russian typewriter and Russian Transliterated keyboard layouts, Keyboard Viewer, Keyboard Layout Editor and a set of True Type multilingual fonts.
After installing ParaWin 95 you have access to all characters in the font and can easily switch between keyboards. Inexperienced users can use it immediately upon installation, and an advanced user can fine tune the application using the advanced options of ParaWIN such as Language settings.
This package is designed to enable full compatibility of all your Windows 3.xx Russian language based applications such as CONTEXT, WinOrfo, Propis, Stylus and CuneiForm with the Windows 95 operating system.
The font set included in ParaWin 95 Pack 1 consists of courier Newton and Pragmatica multilingual True Type character sets corresponding to the following codepages:
1250 Central European; 1251 Cyrillic; 1252 Western; 1253 Greek; 1254Turkish; 1257 Baltic.
ParaWin 95 Pack 1 works with old and new applications
Multilingual Font Pack 1 supports 16bit as well as 32bit applications.
In Windows 95 each multilingual font represents a family of fonts with various character sets. For example, PragmaticaTT font will be presented as PragmaticaTT, PragmaticaTT Baltic, PragmaticaTT Tur, PragmaticaTT CE, PragmaticaTT Cyr and PragmaticaTT Greek. You should change font according to your current keyboard layout setting. For example, if you want to write in Russian, switch your keyboard layout to Russian, and change font to PragmaticaTT Cyr.
Windows 95 supports automatic correlation between keyboard layout and required font "script". Installing procedure adds necessary font substitution instructions to Windows 95 operating system in order to maintain the same font style of your documents written in Windows 3.xx effortlessly.
All features of ParaWin 95 Pack 1 could be used only if Multilingual support for Windows 95 has been installed.
