Russian for Beginners is a new language course that was developed by Moscow State University based on the experience gained over many years of teaching foreign students. The courses are designed for selfstudy, as they progress step by step: with a presentation followed by practice and checking, and they give a running commentary in English and provide a convenient user interface.

ABV2 Games and exercises are included to make sure that users have fun while learning Russian Alphabet. It provides general information about reading and writing in Russian. Transliterations of familiar words are given as examples for mastering the Alphabet. Subsequently users start building their vocabularies through exercises containing 500 most frequently used Russian words. Study time for this part of the course is about 6 hours.

Flash Cards Russian Audio Training Course. This course is suggested for the beginners. It assists users in learning 1,000 frequently used Russian words arranged in the bidirectional (EnglishRussian / RussianEnglish) dictionary. The course features correct pronunciation of the words which may be accessed through the computer sound card.

Russian Dictionary in Exercises Introduction into Russian grammar. This course is designed to help students acquire basic knowledge of Russian word structure. It contains instructions on the roots and other word building blocks and on word search in Russian dictionaries. The vocabulary for this course consists of 7000 words. Study time is 8 - 10 hours.

Listen, Read, Look - Master Advanced introductory course of Russian. This part of the course is intended to assist students in learning to speak Russian. It consists of five progressive levels to master reading and listening skills. Using methods unique to this program practice, dialogues and texts are designed to help students master basic daily situations. Grammatical materials include verbs and their tenses.

Case Detective Boredom of basic grammar studies is alleviated by this course designed as series of six detective games. Comprehension of the basic Russian sentence structure and grammar cases is assisted here by diagrams. Each game contains up to 250 specific easytoremember examples. Study time for this part of the course is 14 hours.
