With Transparent Language, you'll get right into reading classic stories in Spanish, French, German, Italian or Latin. This program works on the theory that learning stems from active participation rather than memorization. You see a foreign language story on the top half of your screen, with the English translation on the bottom half. As you read, the software defines the words you highlight, the phrase in context, the entire sentence, and even translator's notes. You get 3 classic works of fiction in the language of your choice, plus audio cassette readings of each story. To try another language, you just order a new set of stories not a complete software package.
