Chinese TurboWriter
TurboWriter is a fast, easy-to-use, bilingual word processor. The TurboWriter package, when used with the ChineseTalk operating system or with the Chinese Language Kit, allows you to create, edit and print documents containing Chinese and English text. It's an excellent choice for Macintosh users in the U.S. who need to create documents containing Chinese text, since you can easily choose between an English or Chinese user interface, and combining English and Chinese text is as easy as changing the font. TurboWriter contains all of the features you would expect in a business word processor, including
multiple columns, in-line table creation and editing, mail merge, PageMaker file import filter, custom styles, page preview, and XTND support for reading and writing a variety of document formats. In addition TurboWriter supports many Chinese-specific features such as vertical text, mixed English and Chinese text editing, in-line Chinese text entry using any ChineseTalk-compatible input method, multi-byte character size and case transliteration, special text styles such as patterns, and bopomofo pronunciation text. Chinese TurboWriter requires ChineseTalk 6.0.6 or later.
Japanese TurboWriter
The Japanese version of TurboWriter has the same full set of features as Chinese TurboWriter, with the addition of rubi (furigana) pronunciation text and full KanjiTalk 7 in-line text entry, using Kotoeri or any KanjiTalk-compatible input method. Japanese TurboWriter requires KanjiTalk 6.0.4 or later.
Thai & Tibetan TurboWriter
The Thai and Tibetan versions of TurboWriter provide full support for these contextual writing systems. In addition, the Thai version of TurboWriter provides intelligent Thai word wrapping and spell-checking. The Thai version of TurboWriter requires ThaiTalk 7.0 or later, and the Tibetan version of TurboWriter requires the Dzongkha operating system 6.0.4 or later.
Shasta
Shasta is an online English, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese dictionary and word-level translation tool. It also includes a dictionary editor so that you can create your own dictionaries for these and other languages, such as Simplified Chinese, Thai, and Korean. Shasta also features an easy-to-use graphical interface that makes it an ideal tool for translators, international business users, and students of the Japanese or Traditional Chinese languages.
