Enhanced Feature

Full compatibility with Microsoft Office97: All Microsoft Office97 applications are supported by Chinese Partner 4.5(CP45).

Dynamic Localization for Menu and Dialog Box: When the "Display Localized Menu/Dialog" item is clicked, all application menus and dialogs are localized to Chinese. This feature localizes English to Chinese only and does not affect any other languages that are displayed in menus and dialogs.The localization to traditional or simplified menu and dialog is independent of the internal code setting of GB or BIG5.

Enhanced Chinese Character Display and Printer Support: A newly developed Chinese rasterizer engine for CP45 greatly improved the display quality of Chinese characters on screen. The display and printing speeds are also improved. In addition, CP45 now supports even more printers especially to color printers and PostScript printers. The PostScript printer printing speed can be greatly enhanced if bitmap data is sent to printer instead of outline data.

Extensive 27 Chinese fonts included: To continuously add value to our customers, we have increased our Chinese Partner standard font offering from 12 to 27! This constitute the most comprehensive font offering in any Chinese system products in this price range. We have added 8 more traditional Chinese fonts and 7 more simplified Chinese fonts for your convenience.

Code Converter improved: The code converter now supports 8 kinds of codes rather than 6 as stated in the manual. Two more codes: HZ code and GBK code were added. The HZ code is usually used in the Internet and the GBK code is used with PWIN95.

Support Third Party TrueType Fonts: CP45 now supports all TrueType fonts with simple glyph data type (characters stored as one single object) or with composite glyph data type (characters stored as combination of strokes). TrueType font from makers such as Hanyi, Dynalab, Arphic, etc. are all compatible with CP45. Additionally, CP45 now supports all 46 high quality Hanyi Type OA(Chinese Treasure series) fonts.

Compatible with MSGBK Encoding: CP45 employs an UNICODE compliant kernel to enable the capability of supporting CJK (Chinese, Japanese, and Korean) simultaneously. The GBCJK code in CP45 is defined as a super set of MSGBK which is used in Microsoft WIN95 mainland China version(PWIN95). The total CJK Ideographs and most of the symbols in both set are the same.

Supports ISO-2022-CN Encoding and MIME Encoding: CP45 supports ISO2022-CN full set including GB,CNS1 and CNS2. Two forms of MIME encoding are also supported, namely Quoted Printable and Base64. This is very useful for viewing Chinese newsgroups and Email headers.

Auto-Detect GB/BIG5 Codes: CP45 can intelligently detect GB and Big5 encoding simultaneously and correctly display the Chinese characters on the same screen regardless of the current system internal code setting.
