• Elegant Word Processing Because WorldWrite was designed exclusively for the Macintosh, it offers cleaner screen redraw and better performance than the competition. This translates into a more elegant user experience that is evident when working with text-only documents, as well as documents that combine text, graphics, columns, and multiple languages and directions.
• Full WYSIWYG Editing WorldWrite offers full WYSIWYG when working with every aspect of a document including graphics, headers, footers, footnotes etc. Competing products often require the user to go into sub-layers and other modules to preview a document and work with graphics, headers and footers, etc.
• Streamlined Interface WorldWrite's interface is clean, elegant and easy to use, while also remaining true to the Mac environment. It provides buttons for some of the most-used functions, without cluttering up the screen unnecessarily with an excess of tool bars and floating palettes.

• Master Pages, Headers and Footers With WorldWrite's odd and even master pages, headers and footers can be created and managed with complete control. Graphics and text can be set on every page - inside or outside the page margins. And they are all fully visible.
• Text to Speech Text in a WorldWrite document can be read aloud with the Macintosh Text-to-Speech technology (using any voice or language available from Apple).
• Footnotes and Endnotes When referencing sources and detailed information in a WorldWrite document, footnotes and endnotes are automatically numbered and placed.
• Stylesheets & AutoCharacters An unlimited number of stylesheets can be created, as well as imported from one document to another. Character-based styles also allow for character attributes to be set without affecting paragraph layout settings.
• Merge Customized form letters, mailing labels, contracts and any other document requiring multiple copies with personalized data can be created with WorldWrite's merge feature.
• Thunder 7 Speller With the latest version of Thunder 7 integrated into WorldWrite, a document's spelling can be checked fast and accurately. Plus, Thunder 7 was the original on-the-fly spell checker. So if you continually misspell words like "thier," Thunder 7 automatically corrects it while you continue to type.
• Unlimited Copy Append to clipboard The standard Macintosh clipboard only allows for a single graphic or string of text to occupy the clipboard at a time. But WorldWrite uses a copy append feature to allow an unlimited number of graphics and/or strings of text to be saved to the clipboard. These can be retrieved for use at a later time.
• Table of Contents and Indexing WorldWrite's table of contents feature allows for up to seven heading levels. The indexing feature generates a two-level index from defined stylesheets or from marked selections.
• Voice Annotation Voice annotation can record verbal editing notes about a document, or personal deadline reminders or tasks.

• While other word processors claim to be WorldScript-aware, none implement their support as well as WorldSoft. WorldWrite 3.0 not only supports all available language kits from Apple, but also allows for right-to-left text input for languages like Hebrew, Arabic and Persian . WorldWrite even offers vertical text input for languages like Cyrillic, Japanese, Chinese and Korean. (Language kits are available separately from Apple.)

• Columns WorldWrite allows more columns on a page than any other word processor. Columns can be balanced or unbalanced, with separators and borders or without. Each page can contain a varied number of columns.
• Irregular Text Wrap Wrapping text around an irregular-shaped graphic has long been a popular feature of high-end desktop publishing applications. Now this same capability is available in WorldWrite 3.0.
• Color separation and crop marks Other word processors balk at desktop publishing features like color separation and crop marks, but not WorldWrite. Both capabilities are available in version 3.0.

• Macintosh Easy Open WorldWrite 3.0 supports Easy Open, enabling the use of filters from DataViz for new versions of products like Word and WordPerfect.
• Quark filter Ships with WorldWrite.
